You are worth more than you know…
Tell me you’re monetising my personal identity without telling me you’re monetising my personal identity…
I saw these signs across a whole supermarket yesterday.
It’s an interesting illustration of how mucy money can be made from our habitual data – that they are willing to deduct large amounts from staple products across a whole store … in the middle of an inflation spike.
We like to think that things are free – everything from news & social media … right through to loyalty-sceme discounts or the tiny amount we now pay for smart TVs, smart doorbells or “smart” anything else.
The truth is: data is often worth more than the commodities we buy…
… and the reality is that these “free” things come at a huge cost to our privacy, our self-determination and the long-term freedom of society as a whole.
